Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Lexora handles information when you use the Lexora iOS application. Lexora is a local-first tool for building personal Word Sets from material you choose to capture, import, type, or record.
1. Information You Choose to Create
Lexora lets you create and save:
- Word Sets, words, meanings, examples, categories, and notes you enter;
- photos you capture or select from your photo library;
- pronunciation recordings you make and related notes;
- on-device Photo Finish outputs made from your selected images;
- local study history and app preferences; and
- a local quick-session identifier used to keep the app session available on the device.
Lexora does not prefill your account with Word Sets, photos, recordings, or study history.
2. Local-First Storage and Processing
Your Word Sets, reference images, Photo Finish outputs, recordings, notes, and study history are stored on your device. Photo Finish adjusts the crop, tone, contrast, and presentation of an existing image on the device. Lexora does not upload your study media for remote processing and does not automatically recognize, translate, generate, summarize, classify, or evaluate your content.
3. Device Permissions
Lexora requests protected device access only after you choose the related feature:
- Camera: to capture an image you choose for a Word Set.
- Photos: to import an image you select for a Word Set.
- Microphone: to record pronunciation practice you choose to save and play back.
You may deny any permission. Other manual study paths remain available where practical.
4. Stamps and In-App Purchases
Lexora offers optional consumable Stamp Packs through Apple In-App Purchase. Applying Photo Finish to one Word Set made from your own captured or imported image costs 20 Stamps. Stamps have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
Apple processes purchases through the App Store. Lexora does not receive or store your payment-card details. Apple provides product and transaction information needed to verify a purchase. Lexora stores your current Stamp balance and processed transaction identifiers on the device so verified purchases can be delivered once and not duplicated.
Consumable Stamps do not include a Restore Purchases feature. StoreKit may deliver an unfinished or updated transaction so Lexora can complete a previously initiated verified purchase. Apple handles purchase records under its own privacy policy.
5. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
Lexora does not use third-party advertising, behavioral tracking, or cross-app tracking. Lexora does not sell your personal information.
6. Account Deletion and Data Retention
You can choose Delete Account in Settings to remove the local quick session, Word Sets, reference images, Photo Finish outputs, recordings, history, Stamp balance, processed transaction identifiers, and preferences from the device.
Deleting local data does not request an App Store refund. Because Stamps are consumable, a cleared or spent Stamp balance cannot be restored through a purchase-restore action. Apple may retain transaction and billing information under its own policies. Deleting the app may also remove local content, subject to iOS behavior and any device backups you control.
7. Children
Lexora is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Security
Lexora uses iOS storage and security capabilities to protect local content. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, so you should protect access to your device and maintain any backups you need.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Lexora's functionality or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with a revised update date.
